Who are we?
Phoenix is a new church that was started in September '07. It may seem like we have things all together, but the reality is... We're just a handful of 20-30 somethings trying to start a new church together and make a difference spiritually in Austin. Most of us share a background of frustration with churches we've attended in the past that seemed more dead than alive, more fake than real, and more like Christian clubs than 'hospitals for the sick' that Jesus seems to describe in the gospels.
Who are we for?
We are for anyone wanting to grow closer to Christ! We welcome everyone and there's no cover-charge or ticket needed to get in. Our services are geared for people in their 20's and 30's, but we don't check ID's at the door. We aren't going to freak out if you have tattoos, you've got a stud through your nose, or you are gay. That doesn't mean we agree with everyone who walks through our doors, but like Christ modeled, we are going to love on you whoever you are.
We also have stuff for your kids
At the same time we offer our service (6:00 PM, Sunday nights) we have stuff for kids too. The Phoenix Kids Club has activities for infants through 6th graders. We offer a safe, quality, fun environment that your kids will actually want to try a second time...
